
Willis Knighton Cancer Center
Willis-Knighton Health System in Shreveport, Louisiana is a 5-hospital, 1256-bed, health system in northwest Louisiana. All radiation therapy is performed in the Department of Radiation Oncology at a single location, the Willis-Knighton Cancer Center. Our Radiation Oncology department is internationally recognized, certified by both the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO), and boasts an extensive and busy brachytherapy program along with a well-documented record of innovation and early adoption of cutting-edge treatment modalities. Historically, Willis-Knighton was an early adopter of both Peacock and TomoTherapy® based IMRT as well as the first to perform SBRT with TomoTherapy®. More recently, our commitment to innovation has continued with efforts such as the implementation of Proteus®ONE proton therapy.
