Quirónsalud Proton Therapy Center

Quirónsalud, Spain’s number-one hospital group and the largest in Europe, is currently building the first center for proton-beam therapy in Spain. The new facility is a testament to Quirónsalud’s commitment to innovation, safety, and patient care, and solidifies the group’s position as a leader in cancer treatment.

Nowadays, advances in research, technological innovation, and the efforts of medical professionals are making cancer treatments safer, more effective, and more personalized. This is the case of proton-beam therapy. Until now, this type of radiation therapy was available in only 23 health facilities throughout Europe, and in 2019 Quirónsalud opened Spain’s first ever center for proton therapy.
